Nov 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The last album of Kid Cudi was not as good as it was expected to be. In fact, many people said that it was not worth the hype. However, the criticisms that he collected in the last album came to great help, for the creation of the second album of the “Man On The Moon” series, which was released yesterday. The album named “Man On The Moon 2: Legend of Mr. Rager”, is said to be much better. as it recreates the hip hop genre with more novelty and spunk.
The new album features several other artists like, Kanye West, Cee-Lo Green, and Mary J. Blige, whose lent their voice to eliminate the stereotypic effect and monotony. The credit especially goes to Mary J. Blige, whose voice has beautifully brought out the more sophisticated side of Kid Cudi’s music. The singer described his album as a darker one. Where in the last album, he focused more on the dreams and aspirations of the singer, in the new one, he talks about the realities of his life, which includes both the good and the bad. The new album will give a vivid knowledge about who the singer is in real life. “Man On The Moon 2: Legend of Mr. Rager” is not just limited to mere rap and hip hop. It is also blended with a good quantity of rock music, inspired especially from Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Zappa. It also has a good quantity and influence of spacey psychedelia, fusing the clinical, synthetic hip-hop.
This album is supposedly more consuming and intoxicating, just like the singer in real life. However, some critics have said that the musical direction of this rapper in still unclear. Although, this is slightly better than the last one, he has a lot more to work on, said the critics.
