Los Angeles, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) KFI has suspended John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou for some unpalatable comments that they made about late singer Whitney Houston. The pair hosts a popular radio talk show in Los Angeles called “The John and Ken Show.”

KFI AM 640 issued a statement on Thursday distancing itself from the comments that the two made on the station. The comments that got the two in trouble had to do with calling Houston a “crack ho.” They also claimed further that the 48-year-old had “cracked out for 20 years.”

The comments received some backlash and the two hosts later apologized calling the remarks “inappropriate.”

Announcing their decision on the incident, KFI announced that the two hosts will stay away from the airwaves until the 27th of February. A statement from the radio station further admitted that the comments were in bad tastes and the station will not “condone” it.

“Management does not condone, support or tolerate statements of this kind,” the statement from the network on Thursday revealed. The two hosts have accepted the decision by the radio station.

Houston admitted to drug use in the late 1990s but announced shortly before her death that she has beaten the addiction. Several reports however challenged that claim often linking the singer to drug and alcohol use.
