Kevin Smith says that ‘Hit Somebody’ is his final film
January 26th, 2011 - 8:59 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Jan 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Famous Hollywood director, Kevin Smith has confirmed that “Hit Somebody” is going to be his last movie.
The directors plans to retire and take up different challenges in life. Smith has had a very difficult past 12 years and rumors were rife that the director will be quitting his career for good.
He confirmed the rumor at the Sundance Film Festival where he premiered his latest movie, Red State.
Smith had a particularly nasty relationship with film critics. He was not so happy with critical reviews of his films and he often took to Twitter to defend himself.
On what he intends to do now, Smith revealed that he will be helping other people to make movies. What Smith however failed to reveal was the capacity in which he was going to help others. Smith is a lawyer and it is not readily clear whether he is now going to concentrate on writing or producing.
The announcement shocked many people. Though the rumor has been going around for sometime now, they hoped that it was just a rumor but as it has turned out now, it is true.
