kevin Oakland, Feb 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor-Director Kevin Smith had reportedly been asked to debark from a Southwest Airlines flight for being too fat. The crewmembers said that he was too fat, and if he wanted to fly then he would need to purchase an additional ticket.

Kevin Smith didn’t take it lying down, and he got back at the company by tweeting about the incident on the social networking and the micro-blogging site Twitter that, Dear @SouthwestAir - I know I’m fat, but was Captain Leysath (sic) really justified in throwing me off a flight for which I was already seated?

A Southwest Airlines spokesman at the Oakland International Airport confirmed this incident, and he also said that the airline was in touch with the actor-director Kevin Smith. He also said that the crew is capable enough to determine which fat passenger needs to buy an additional ticket if he wants to travel on the flight.

However later Smith tweeted that he was allowed to board another Southwest flight. He tweeted: Dear @SouthwestAir, I’m on another one of your planes, safely seated & buckled-in again, waiting to be dragged off in front of the normies. … And, hey? @SouthwestAir? I didn’t even need a seat belt extender to buckle up. Somehow, that **** fit over my “safety concern”-creating gut.
