Kevin Bacon cast as the villain in ‘X-Men’

Los Angeles, July 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kevin Bacon has been added to the cast of the “X-Men” movie.

A prequel to the original “X-Men” movie - “X-Men: First Class” would feature Kevin Bacon and another new cast member in the form of Jennifer Lawrence.

In the movie, Bacon would play a villain but his actual character has not been confirmed as yet. Jennifer Lawrence is expected to play the role of Mystique.

Most of the details of the film’s plot are been kept a secret, but the film would follow the friendly rivalry that existed between Magneto and Charles Xavier and it would also provide an explanation the formation of Charles Xavier’s X-Men team.

Some of the other cast members that have been confirmed are James McAvoy who plays Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender, who would enact the character of Magneto. Other artists like Alice Eve would portray Emma Frost and Caleb Landry Jones who would enact the character of Banshee in the movie. Nicholas Hoult has also been confirmed in the movie as Beast, but Aaron Johnson’s rumored role as Cyclops has been debunked by the film producers.

However a major absentee from the film would be Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman.
