London, Dec 31(ANI): Troubled Kerry Katona has made up her mind to sell her mother’s house so that she can retain her 1.2million pound mansion.

Katona, 29, was deeply upset when she was on the verge of being kicked out of her house for falling behind in the payment of her 4,000pound-a-month mortgage.

But Katona has now found a solution to the problem - she had promised lenders Lloyds TSB that she will sell mum Sue’s home to pay her debts.

Sue has been asked to leave the 130,000pound two-bedroom terrace in Warrington, Cheshire by January 15.

Katona had given this house to Sue after buying it in 2006.

Katona will use the money from the sale to pay her mortgage arrears as also finance future monthly payments on her Wilmslow pad.

However, Sue, 49, is “horrified and upset” by her daughter’s decision, said a pal.

“Kerry was in a right state as she thought she would end up homeless,” the Daily Star quoted a friend, as explaining Katona’s decision.

The pal continued: “She has no money left and all that she has got is paying off her debts.

“She spoke to the mortgage lender and they told her if she can pay off the arrears within three months, and keep her monthly payments up to date, they will let her keep the house.

“Kerry is selling her mum’s house for 130,000 pounds and the money she makes from that will go to settling her debts and keeping a roof over her head.

“She feels terrible kicking her mum out but she has herself and her four kids to think of. They’ve had to come first.

“As Sue has no income she can easily get a council house but it would be harder for a former millionairess like Kerry to explain why she would need a free home.’

The pal added: “She knows how close she’s come to losing everything and she knows she needs to be sensible with her money from now on.

“Kerry claims she didn’t even know she’d fallen behind with her mortgage as she never bothers to check her bank statements.

“But now she knows she needs to keep on top of things.

“She was horrified at the prospect of being homeless and has had the wake-up call she finally needed.” (ANI)
