Kelly Ripa unveils her wax statue in Madame Tussauds
April 8th, 2011 - 1:19 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, April 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kelly Ripa has unveiled her wax figure in New York. The figure of the TV personality was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds today.
The real Kelly and her wax figure wore the same red dresses but their shoes were different. While the 40-year-old sported nude peep-toes, her wax likeness wore a pair of black heels. Kelly’s co-host Regis Philbin’s wax was also unveiled today as well.
The ceremony attracted several people including Kelly’s husband, Mark Consuelos. Kelly and Mark would be celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary next. Throughout the photo session, Mark was all smiles indicating that he was happy to be between two “wives”.
Mark and Kelly have three children together- 13-year-old Michael, 9-year-old Lola Grace and 8-year-old Joaquin.
Mark was happy to be sharing in the achievements of his wife. Mark is reportedly producing a sports documentary about a female basketball player with Kelly. The two have paired up before for a sports documentary which was nominated for an Emmy though it did not win the award.
Kelly joked that, “Of course we didn’t win, because we don’t win Emmys. That’s not something we do. But anyway… I mean, anybody can win, but not everybody can lose in every category.”
