Kelly Price releases her new album
May 2nd, 2011 - 11:36 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, May 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After staying away from R&B for eight years, Kelly Price has returned with a new album that speaks about her life. The singer decided to step away from R&B and concentrate on Gospel music.
Her new R&B album which is titled “Kelly” touches on her life. The album is the sixth album that has been released by Kelly in her career. In an interview with Billboard, the singer said that the album reveals her maturity in the music industry.
The album will be released on the 3rd of May. In the interview, Kelly talked about the struggles that she went through and some of the bad decisions that she made in her life. She explained that concentrating on the negatives in her life and not forgiving herself is not the way to go. Subsequently she wants to change that and focus on the positives in her life rather.
Each track on the album is set to speak about a particular incident in the life of Kelly. She explained that the track “I’m Sorry” speaks about self-forgiveness while “The Rain” talks about the empowerment that she needs to overcome her problems. Another track “HimAholic” speaks about addictive relationships.
A day after the album comes out, Kelly will be at the Singersroom’s Acoustic Conversation series where she is expected to perform.
