June 24, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Kellie Pickler, the American Idol Season 5 contestant, has got engaged to her songwriter Kyle Jacobs on June 15, which in coincidentally the birthday of her late grandmother.

The Country girl was very close to her grandmother, who passed away recently. After her father went to prison and her mother ran off leaving her, it was Kellie’s grandmother, who took care of her. She was very fond of her grandmother and was very sad after her demise.

Kellie became popular after her appearance in the reality show ‘American Idol Season 5’. She impressed everyone with her amazing voice and awesome personality.

The couple met with each other though a friend about two and half years back. As per Pickler, Kyle is the person who taught her what real love is.

On June 15, Kyle planned to propose to the Country singer. He arranged a blanket, candles and champagne, which were waiting for them as both strolled on the Florida beach. As it was her grandmother’s birthday, Kellie was feeling very sad and hard to pass the day. But the day turned out the most beautiful day of her life as Kyle proposed to her on the beach that evening. They talked, laughed, cried and had champagne together.

Sharing her excitement, Kellie said, “We are feeling like my grandmother has blessed us both. My world has changed from today.”

Kyle is a song writer and Kellie is a singer so we can expect many romantic numbers from this romantic couple in future, we hope you rock the world together!
