Los Angeles, Jan 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The new year has surely begun with a bang for the country music singer Keith Urban. The 36th Annual People’s Choice Award turned out to be an extremely special occasion for the singer as he managed to win the award in the category of ‘Favorite Male Artist’, at the much anticipated award ceremony which was held at the Nokia Theatre at Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The much acclaimed country musician attended the award ceremony with his actress wife Nicole Kidman. Although Keith Urban also received nomination in the category of ‘Favorite Country Artist’, the 42 year old singer lost to Carrie Underwood, who took home the award which recognizes country musicians.

At the same time, the reputed singer-songwriter gathered immense attention as he sat with his actress wife, holding hands as they interacted with the host of other celebrities who were present at the ceremony. Moreover, the power couple, who were back to United States after spending time with their family in Australia, looked stunning as they attended the award function. The country singer wore a black suit as he flaunted his chest tattoo that made him look all the more handsome. His actress wife also matched up to him equally, as she donned a low cut black ensemble that made her look as ravishing as ever.

Meanwhile, the ceremony which was aired live on CBS turned out to be an extremely entertaining experience for the audiences as it gave recognition to the best works in the field of music as well movies and television.
