Dec 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American R&B/soul singer Keith Sweat was declared dead on a reputed social networking site on Saturday. The news, however, shocked all his fans, who started searching frantically on web to find out latest news about the renowned singer. The rumor began on Twitter and since then it has spread like fire. However, the fans of the singer can breath a sigh of relief as it was just a rumor as Keith Sweat is alive and he performed in Kansas City last night.
Some bloggers are of the opinion that Keith Sweat death rumors is a publicity stunt by the singer who wants to revive his drowning career. Keith Sweat is not the first celebrity who is subjected to these death rumors. However, the record producer/radio personality can somehow seek assurance in the fact that he is not the only one who have got into the baseless virtual cycle of dead rumors. Joining him in the celebrity bandwagons are Oprah Winfrey, Russell Crowe, Robert Pattinson, Tom Cruise, to name a few. These type of celebrity death hoaxes suddenly hits the web and then it goes viral.
However, it seems that the rumor mongers derive fun out of these news which shocks the fans and family of the concerned celebrities. Teen sensation Justin Bieber is one such example who has been subjected to many rumors. The media outlets report that the “Baby” singer is the only celebrity who has been a victim of cyber-bullying for a repeated number of times. Neither Keith Sweat nor his representative has commented anything about the death hoax. However, some gossip sites claimed that the singer has released his own video to prove that he is still alive.
