Keith Richards’ representative denies that the rocker hit Markus Larsson

keith1 Paris, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A rep of singer Keith Richards has denied newspaper reports that he assaulted a journalist who tried to interview him. The singer was recently in Paris and it was reported that the incident happened at a Paris hotel Tuesday.

It was reported that Keith who was being interviewed by a Swedish newspaper realized that the interviewer was the same person who gave his band, The Rolling Stone a bad review after a 2007 concert in the country. Keith who was in Paris to promote his Memoir, Life allegedly confronted the reporter, Markus Larsson and demanded that he publicly apologize for the review.

Larsson reviewed the performance of the Rolling Stone at the Gothenburg, Sweden and called the band “amateurs”. That review did not go down with Keith allegedly and he confronted Larsson three years later. It was reported that Keith told Larsson that “ended with the rock star threatening Markus Larsson and hitting him in the head. You’re lucky to get out of here alive”.

The allegations have been denied by the rep of the singer who said that, “At the conclusion of the 20 minute interview Keith Richards jokingly tapped the journalist on the head after his questions got a bit silly. From the people in the room during the interview they would suggest that the writer has allowed his imagination to get the better of him”.
