New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, who admits to being a big science fiction fan, is delighted to have landed the opportunity to act in the sci-fi flick The Day The Earth Stood Still.

The Chain Reaction actor wants his fans to know that the remake of the 1951 cult classic is not just any sci-fi flick, as it has a very deep meaning to it, reports China Daily.

“It’’s about the world we live in and the destructive nature of man, so it gives you a lot to think about. It’’s very timely, Reeves said.

Reeves, 44, who loved the “Stars Wars” movies and read books like “1984″ and “Brave New World, stated that “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is more than a standard sci-fi film.

“It’’s also a suspense drama, and it hopes to entertain in a “lets-go-to-the-movies-and-eat-popcorn way,” he said. (ANI)
