Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) British actor and Comedian Russell Brand who was known for his wild image tied the knot with his pop singer bride Katy Perry in India and it was a wild wedding in every way! There is nothing exceptional in wearing traditional Indian dress or following rituals but the venue of the marriage hogged as much attention as the high profile celebrity couple.

The wedding venue was decorated with garlands, fancy lights and trees elaborately. There were fire jugglers, snake charmers, traditional musician and dancers at the venue. There were a lot of animals that were roped in from a nearby resort. The groom rode on a horse at the wedding venue. He was followed by a procession of animals. It was a spectacular event and the couple seemed to be in the best of spirits.

The workers of the Aman-i-Khas luxury resort adjacent to Rajasthan’s Ranthambore would remember the wedding for a long time. Along with the traditional Indian instruments, vedic chants were also heard at the wedding venue. Jesse Randhawa, a noted Indian supermodel and choreographer Sandhip Soparrkar performed at the marriage. The parents of the American singer were present there. The bride looked nice in Indian outfit and she sported a dazzling smile. The couple chose not to invite too many people but some of their celebrity friends were invited.

The couple had been seeing each other since last year and their engagement also took place in India earlier on. The wedding drew enough media attention and the Rajasthan government in India expressed concern over noise pollution due to the high profile wedding and post wedding celebrations.
