In Katy Perry’s new video, which seems to be inspired by Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” story, the singer arrives to a labyrinth, which, as soon she enters, walls start to close on her.

She also meets a young girl, who is later seen getting on a bike that features a vanity plate that reads the name “KATHERYN”. She then escapes from the labyrinth, arriving to its exit. The fairy-tale video also features a scene in which the singer appears to have found her own prince charming, but later punches him. The prince, according to many reports, represents Perry’s former husband.

Katy Perry rose to worldwide fame after releasing her first mainstream LP, One of the Boys (2008), which featured the hit singles “I Kissed A Girl”, “Hot n Cold” and “Waking Up In Vegas”.

Her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010), included five number one songs—”California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream”, “Firework”, “E.T.” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”

The singer has re-released the LP under the name of Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection earlier this year, spawning the number-one “Part of Me” and the single “Wide Awake”.

Perry got married to British comedian Russell Brand in 2010. The couple divorced earlier this year.
