Oct 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Russell Brand tied the knot with his lady love Katy Perry in one of the most extravagant manner on October 23, in the presence of family members and close friends. As expected, the celebrity couple pledged love for each other in one of the most unconventional manner outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary, in western part of the subcontinent. Although a spokesperson of the newly-wedded couple reiterated that the wedding was a ‘private and spiritual ceremony,’ the gala preparations that went on prior to the event did not substantiate the same.

Following the wedding, a close friend of the pair confirmed to the media that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are now a married couple after tying the knot amidst closest friends as well as family members while the marriage was solemnized by a Christian minister and a long time friend of the couple. However, the celebrity couple also followed customs of Hindu tradition as the groom arrived on a horse followed by a wedding procession comprising of horses, camels and elephants along with traditional musicians as well as dancers. At same time, keeping with the Indian customs, the pair also chose to adorn traditional Indian outfits with Katy Perry looking ravishing in a sari, sources have revealed.

The fact that the couple decided to exchange vows in Indian does not come as a surprise as Russell Brand had proposed to the singer at the Taj Mahal late last year while they were on a romantic holiday. The big fat Indian wedding was surely the perfect closure to their torrid romance.
