Katy Perry talks about her grueling makeup session for E.T. video

As the clock ticks for the video to be released, details are emerging about how the video was made.
During an interview with MTV News, Katy recalled the “grueling” makeup process that she has to go through before the video was made. She asked about the make-up details, the “Teenage Dream” hitmaker said that, “It was, like, five and six hours, each makeup look… It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video. But, you know, it’s like when you’re doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster — and that’s kind of what this process was.”
After such an exhaustive experience, the singer joked that it just took her 10 minutes to get out of the makeup. MTV.com would premier the movie later today. The movie is set to hit the Internet on 12:00 pm EST. The video would also be shown online on VH1.com and LogoTV.com.
