Katy Perry: No Intimacy Before Marriage

October 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Plans for the Indian style wedding of singer Katy Perry and comedian Russell Brand are in full swing and reports suggest that the couple are taking the Indian connection of the wedding a little too seriously. Word from the state Rajasthan is that Katy Perry has imposed a ban on intimacy before marriage! Just like an Indian bride is not allowed to meet the groom days before she ties the knot, Katy Perry, too, has said that Russell Brand should not meet her before the wedding ceremony is complete. The ceremony is to take place over the weekend at the Rambagh palace in Jaipur.
A source close to the couple says that Katy Perry wanted their wedding to be very different and special and that is why it was her idea to stop fiancée Russell Brand to get intimate with her before they are announced husband and wife. If reports are to be believed, Katy Perry not only wants the ceremony to be special, but also wants to enjoy the concept of the first night together after marriage, the Indian way and that is why this ban on sex.
Russell Brand, on the other hand, was little reluctant initially, but soon gave in to his fiancee’s wishes. Nobody by now is unaware of the womanizing nature of the British comedian, but it also true that Russell Brand has changed completely after Katy Perry came into his life.
