Katy Perry News: It’s her 27th birthday today
October 25th, 2011 - 10:17 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Oct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Katy Perry turns 27 today (the 25th of October 2011). The actress who is known for wearing outrageous and often exaggerated outfits was born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on the 25th of October 1984.
Perry plans to spend her birthday on the quiet. She is currently on a tour in Britain and plans to continue the tour. She is scheduled to perform in Birmingham and Newcastle this week. The tour will continue next week at Manchester where she will perform to a packed audience.
Shortly after the singer completes her tour in Europe which includes Ireland, she is expected to jet to her native United States where another bout of performances have been lined up for her.
Perry is married to British comedian Russell Brand. The pair initially met in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards. The two became engaged later that year and they eventually got married on the 23rd of October 2010. the pair chose to have a traditional Hindu wedding in India.
On the eve of her 27th birthday, Perry wrote on her Twitter page that, “Me & the Mr. just watched “Forks Over Knives” it’s a pretty cool doc for anyone interested :) You can get it on Netflix!”
