Los Angeles, Dec 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Katy Perry has revealed that hosting the Saturday Night Live show last week was the icing on the cake for her after having a successful 2011. The singer has enjoyed one of the best moments of her life in 2011 with the exception of reported trouble in her matrimonial home.

Katy’s 2011 tour was a huge success and after picking several awards, she was further told that she is being considered for two Grammys for her role in “The Smurfs.” The 27-year-old believes that she has had it all in the year and called hosting SNL the “cherry on top.”

During a chat with MTV ahead of hosting the show, Katy said that, “Most definitely, you hear with different monologues of different hosts every week, it sounds a bit repetitive and stereotypical about how this is their dream come true to host ‘SNL,’ but it really is each and every one of our dream come true to host ‘SNL,’ to just have fun, goof off, try and make some people laugh. And, we’ll see. Hopefully, I don’t embarrass myself ’cause if I do, I’ll stick to music.”

Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, Katy is one of the successful American singers in the current generation. She is married to British comedian Russell Brand. The two got married in India during a traditional Hindu celebration.
