Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After much anticipation and speculation by the media ace singer Katy Perry and comedian/actor Russell Brand got married today in what has been dubbed as a ”private and spiritual ceremony”. The marriage took place at Aman-e-Khas luxury resort adjacent to the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary and located at 80 mile distance from Jaipur. The bride and groom are very happy and they are looking forward to a blissful married life. The event was attended only by close friends and family members of the couple. The rituals for the marriage was performed by a long time friend of the stars family and a Christian minister.

The ‘Get Him To The Greek’ actor and his wife both wore traditional Indian outfits for their wedding. The female guests also dressed up in saris. The marriage venue was adorned with luxury tents and colorful lights. A number of horses, camels and elephants were used in the procession for the wedding. A number of dancers and musicians were also roped in for attending the wedding. The couple met for the first time last year at the MTV Video Music Awards and soon love blossomed between them. Katy Perry was proposed by the actor last year in India when they were spending a holiday.

Russell Brand was known for his drug and sex addiction earlier but it looks like that after meeting Katy Perry he has changed for better. Since 2008, both Katy Perry and Russell Brand are doing well in their respective careers. It is being rumored that the actor will take his singer-wife on a prolonged honeymoon.
