Aug 02 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to reports from ‘E!Online’, Katy Perry has bought her fiance a thirty-fifth birthday present that is really out of this world. She purchased a Virgin Galactic Space adventure from Richard Branson, at the cost of $200,000.
A representative for Virgin Galactic by the name of Louella Faroa told ‘E!News’, “It is true. We are very excited to have him on board.”
The very pricey seats on the maiden voyage of the mother-ship come with more than just a space-view, however. Brand, along with the other lucky guests will be flown over 365,000 feet into the atmosphere of the Earth, going three times faster than the speed of sounds, and then unfasten their seat belts and float around weightlessly for five minutes.
One of the space agents for Virgin Galactic stated, “There will be 17-inch-diameter windows to look out onto. Passengers will be able to view Earth around 800 miles in any direction from space.”
Russell Brand and the others will have to prepare thoroughly before bast off, however. There will be two or three days of training as an astronaut, but for now the space ship is still being tested, so there is plenty of time. Although Katy did not buy herself a ticket, she was invited to wait for his return at the Virgin Galactic spaceport in New Mexico.
