November 16, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar are two of the most loved stars in tinsel town. Both of them have established themselves in the world of glitz and glamor with amazing success.
The stars has undergone a long career with periods of struggle. But to put the long story short, let’s point out the main aspects of their career together.
The fact that both have come from completely diverse backgrounds with no Godfather or Godmother in the industry and no family lineage in the glamour world has made them stand on a platform which deserves appreciation if not accolades.
Katrina Kaif who has a Brit background was far away from the glitzy world of cinema. She has been brought up with many siblings and had only come to the city of glamour to make it big as a model. Even though her first foray into Bollywood was a total thud, she struck gold with her film Namaste London opposite Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar, who had been working as a cook in Bangkok had come to B-town with stars in his eyes. He did taste success with quite a few films initially, but then during his rough patch he was completely at a juncture with no films in hand.
Thus when Vipul Shah came forward with this film, he instantly agreed. Then there was no looking back for both Akshay and Katrina. The film was a super hit and so was this jodi.
Of course their other flicks together were also successful, but what is awaited with much enthusiasm is the forth coming Tees Maar Khan. So watch out for this great entertainment bonanza.
