Priyanka Chopra Mumbai, April 25 (IANS) Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has slammed rumours that she approached actor-director Pankaj Kapoor for a role in his directorial debut “Mausam”.

“This is entirely untrue,” Katrina, who is currently working on Zoya Akhtar’s “Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara” and Yash Raj’s “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”, said in a statement.

Added a source: “The news is utter rubbish. Katrina is in a position to pick and choose roles of her choice. She never lobbied for the role in ‘Mausam’ and such rumours are spread by sources with vested interests.”

“Mausam” stars Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor and is slated to release in July this year.

Priyanka did not suggest Parineeti’s name for ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’: Director

Director Maneesh Shrama says that Priyanka Chopra didn’t suggest her cousin Parineeti’s name for “Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl”.

“Parineeti is a story in itself. It’s not that Priyanka suggested her name. She was working with the marketing department of Yash Raj films. When I got my script for ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’, for one part I thought she’ll be very good. So I asked her if she would be interested,” Sharma told IANS.

“She said yes, but I told her that she would have to audition for it, which she did keenly and excitedly and she was pretty good. So that’s how she came on board. She is a remarkable talent,” he added.

“Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl” is a romantic comedy, where a smooth and charming conman, Ricky Bahl, cons girls for a living but finally meets his match.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film stars Anushka Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Aditi Sharma and Ranveer Singh.

I’m not a method actor: Juhi Chawla

Juhi Chawla has donned many characters in her more than 20 years’ acting career, but she reveals that she is not a method actor and doesn’t take her characters back home.

“For acting to be effective, you have to live that moment completely to make it as real as possible. So when I am shooting, I am completely in tune with the character I am playing. But I don’t carry that back home or in between shots also as I don’t want to be like that character,” Juhi told IANS.

The 43-year-old will be soon seen in Onir’s film “I AM” slated to hit screens Friday.
