Katie Price dismisses second Ibiza trip to win kids’ custody
July 25th, 2009 - 3:10 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 25 (ANI): Katie Price has cancelled plans of a second trip of partying to the blowout island of Ibiza after estranged hubby Peter Andre’s lawyers threatened to launch legal action against her.
Close friends and family have advised Katie, aka Jordan, that another wild holiday on the White Isle will destroy her chances of gaining custody of the couple’s three children.
And thus, Katie is now on a desperate publicity offensive to clean up her act in a bid to stop Peter, 36, starting a new life with their children back in Australia.
Earlier this month, Katie said that she was planning to head back to Ibiza, despite her disastrous week there last month.
However, she promised that she was “going to do it properly this time”.
On her last visit there in June, Katie caused mayhem when she threatened to cut the face of a Daily Star reporter and snogged model Anthony Lowther, 28, in a club while flashing her boobs in public.
But her management team have refused to let her go for a second trip, warning it could “destroy” her.
They spoke out after Andre’s lawyers threatened to take Katie to court over her recent interview in which she indicated that the singer had been unfaithful to her.
Her close friends have told her she would be mad to repeat her last trip and spark another bitter battle.
“Kate wanted to go back to Ibiza but she is not any more. Other things have come up and she has cancelled her plans,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesman for Katie as saying.
“Kate’s team have been really struggling to tame her since they signed her. They know she is worth the work in the long run, but right now things are not looking good - she has become public enemy number one,” said a source close to Katie.
“Everyone is on Pete’s side and if she repeats what she did on her first trip to the island then the custody case might as well be a done deal for Pete.
“She would have no chance of getting those kids. What judge would hand over custody to a mum who writhes around half naked with men for a living?” added the source. (ANI)
