September 20, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Katie Couric admitted that she has a fantasy that she had harbored all along. The CBS news anchor revealed that she wanted to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ The 53 year old veteran of Today show disclosed this to US Today.

She was speaking at the occasion of the ‘Us Weekly’s 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers’ fete on Wednesday. Katie Couric was one of the celebrities who made it to top 25 along with Rachel Ray, Will Arnett and Bethenny Frankel, the star of ‘Real Housewives of New York’. She also said that although she loved to think of herself participating in the dancing show, she had misgivings about the skimpy outfits. She joked that it would be like paging Jenny Craig. She turned out to be suitably attired for the black carpet occasion looking both trendy and chic in a Carmen Marc Valvo dress of golden hue along with Stuart Weitzman shoes on her feet.

Other than the popular DWTS, Couric admitted that she wasn’t very fond of the reality shows although she confessed to her daughter being fond of watching ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. She said that she just didn’t understand the whole concept and hoped that God will love the people who invite the media to enter every personal aspect of their lives.

However, she said that she was really keen on interviewing Michaele Salahi, the reality star of ‘Real Housewives of DC’ who is also known as the White House party crasher. She recalls having met Salahi at the White House State dinner.
