Katie Couric Admits Of Getting Aggressive For “Glee”

Katie CouricFeb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fans of CBS’ Evening News anchor Katie Couric will soon get to see her break away from the traditional role of a journalist that she has been doing for so long. Come Sunday and audience will watch her take up a complete new avatar as she appears on the popular musical show “Glee”. Yes the 54 year old veteran journalist has shot for the famous show for their Super Bowl special episode where she thinks she got a little aggressive all due to the different experience.

According to sources, the shooting for the Super Bowl special episode was done at the beginning of last December prior to the breaking of the political and social turbulence in Egypt. Katie Couric presently is in Cairo from where she is reporting the crisis. The CBS anchor has made a guest role for the show where she will be seen playing herself. The script demanded her to interview the domineering cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester whose part has been enacted by none other than actress Jane Lynch. The plot gets hilarious as Sue Sylvester mistakes Katie Couric for ABC’ Diane Sawyer. On being questioned about her experiences of having shot for a musical show, Katie Couric revealed that although before the shooting she had doubts about her role but she was confident that she would not do any singing act for the show.

She admitted that she felt she got a little aggressive during the shooting all because of the excitement of appearing on “Glee”, something of which Katie Couric herself is a big fan. The football special episode named “The Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle” will air on Sunday after the SuperBowl final between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers gets over.
