Kathy Ireland is the world’s richest supermodel

The 48-year-old, who is also the owner of a very successful retail outlet, heads the list of the world’s richest supermodels.
Tyra Banks, often touted as one of the most successful supermodels in this age does not match the worth of Kathy. Forbes reports that Kathy’s retail empire churned out about $2 billion on total sales last year and that has placed her on the path to becoming one of the biggest minds in the retail world.
Kathy is famous for her times in the 1980s although she started modeling at the age of 17 years. She was on the cover of Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for 13 issues in the 1980s and the 90s.
On the list, Forbes state Kathy’s fortune as $350 million and she is followed by Gisele Bündchen who is estimated to have a fortune of $250 million. Tyra Banks came in a distant fourth with a pale-looking fortune of $90 million.
Kathy has stayed out of the public eye since she stepped out from the walkway in the late 1990s. Her only major appearance was at the 2010 Oscars.
