Jan 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Academy Award-winning actress Kathy Bates’ acting is always a treat to the eyes of not only her fans, but also to viewers all over the world. She is featuring in the new television series named “Harry’s Law”, that is getting aired every Monday at 10p.m. on NBC. Last night the series debuted on the channel. The very first scene was simply amazing. It was an evidence as to how much popularity the series would get if it went on. In the first few minutes, it shows a young man trying to kill himself. Kathy Bates, on the other hand gets fired from her job as a patent lawyer for the cause that she got bored and depressed with it. She starts watching cartoons and smoking pot in her office.

In last night’s episode, it showed Kathy Bates as a wildly successful patent lawyer, wondering what could be the possible harms of watching cartoons, or having junk food or smoking pot in her office. She gets fired and on the way home from office, has a suicidal soon-to-be-client jump off six stories, bounce off an awning and land on her. Shortly afterwards, she gets hit by a tricked-out Mercedes owned by her soon-to-be partner in a law office. This office was once a shoe store that left the stock behind when it sank. Brittany Snow, plays her fashion-obsessed blonde young assistant from the old firm. She follows Kathy Bates to sell shoes and make new clients.

Kathy Bates is an excellent actress, and the manner in which portrayed her character as Harriet Korn or “Harry” looked as if she was the character in real life. Their clients are poor but not evil, so far. Looks like the series would win the hearts of million of viewers all over the world. Whether or not it actually happens, is just a matter of time.
