New York City, April 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After just eight performances, Kathleen Turner’s Broadway show “High” will be closed. The show was opened this year and if it is closed on Sunday as the report suggests, it will be the first Broadway show this year to close after opening in the year.

The show portrays the actress as a nun who has a past with alcoholism. The life of the nun is followed as she tries to counsel a teenage gay prostitute. The show’s last performance will take place on Sunday after which the curtains will be drawn for the last time.

The show has been struggling to get audience into the theater. Last week, the show managed to fill only 17 percent of the seating capacity grossing $91,020. Getting the audience to the theater is not the only problem that the show is struggling with. The show has also received negative reviews since it was opened.

Turner has other things to get her busy after the show closes. She played the role of Catholic mother in the movie, “The Perfect Family.” The movie premiered last week at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
