Kathleen Turner Returning To Broadway With “High”

kathleenturner_carolyncontino_bei_rexJan 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kathleen Turner will shortly make an appearance in Broadway after her long hiatus with “High”. Producers of the play on Friday announced that the actress will be making a come back to Broadway. The actress who has not be seen during the last five years will once again be seen setting the stage on fire with her splendid performance for which she has always remained a favorite with the audience.

With “High” the American actress will be make her comeback to Broadway ever since her commendable performance that she had lend out for a revival of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”. The much acclaimed role had earned the actress a nomination for the Tony Awards in the year 2005. Audience mainly remember the actress for the roles that she did in movies “Romancing the Stone” and “Prizzi’s Honor”. The soon to hit the theaters play will have the relationship between a former alcoholic nun and a 19 year old drug- addict as its plot. The play will be directed by Rob Ruggiero and the production has been penned by Matthew Lombardo. Fans of the 56 year old actress are impatiently awaiting for the arrival date when they will once again get to see the actress on the stage after a long gap of time. The character that she will be playing is named Sister Jamison Connelly who appears to be a foul-mouthed nun trying to help the teen drug-addict.

According to sources, the previews for “High” would begin on March 25 while the official date for opening is April 19. The play demands a strong of understanding as it contains un-conventional language and nudity for which the producers have alarmed audience under 17 years of age for parental advice.
