Jun 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kathie Lee Gifford’s son – Cody Gifford is the new movie reviewer on ‘Today’. He would review movies every Friday, through out the summers.

It ought to be mentioned that Cody is a student of filmmaking in college, and his ambition is to direct movies after he finishes his studies. Thus reviewing movies is a step in the right direction, as this way he would get to see how a critic sees the movies, that are painstakingly made by the director and the producer.

The TV reviews that he would be doing all through the summer are also a part of his summer internship at Today. According to TVNewser, Cody would be “reviewing movies for his mother’s fourth hour.”

Even though Cody is just in college and yet to graduate, yet he thinks that he is the perfect choice to review movies and that too in front of the camera. He said that, “I think that as you get older, you know, you kinda — no one’s fault — but you get a little out of touch with contemporary issues, films, and whatnot. And that’s no fault of anyone’s, but I think I can bring, maybe, a little more awareness and, kind of, a relevancy, that maybe isn’t there with older people.”
