Los Angeles, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael Jackson’s father Joe Jackson is not getting share in his famous son’s estate. Michael Jackson had left money only for his mother Katherine Jackson and his children. He had omitted to mention his father in his will. So Joe Jackson contested the will, demanding a share in his son’s estate to cover his daily expenses.
Katherine Jackson’s separated husband Joe Jackson failed to secure his legal challenge to the executors of his late son Michael Jackson’s estate in a Los Angeles court. The judge ruled that Joe Jackson had no footing in the eyes of the law to stake any claims relating to it.
“Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made,” Judge Beckloff told the court. According to court documents, Mr. Joe Jackson wants an allowance to help cover expenses that exceed $15,000 a month. Mr. Jackson’s expenses were listed in the court papers and included rent for his Las Vegas home, ordering meals out, air travel and hotel accommodation.
Perhaps Michael Jackson had omitted his father in his will, because he had a strained relationship with his father Joe Jackson.
