She disclosed that she had no plans whatsoever of returning as Izzie Stevens in the popular show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. She has now conclusively put her Seattle Grace hospital days behind her. Although she confessed of having no plans of returning to the hit show of the ABC network, she said that it was both a hard as well as a sad decision for her.

She explained stating that Izzie would be seen as manipulative if she manages to return now and there is absolutely no way she could come back gracefully. She went on to add that she would go on thinking about her character, as to where she was, what she was doing and what has happened in the meantime but it will definitely be hard as it was over for her now.

There were speculations that she had wanted to further her movie career when she announced her decision to quit her role in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Heigl, however, told the Entertainment Weekly that she had taken such a decision on account of her family as she wanted to spend more time with them. She was also keen to get to know her newly adopted daughter Naleigh.

Katherine Heigl simply stated that starting a family had made her change her decision to work full time reports the CBS news.
