Kate Winslet to return to television
February 12th, 2010 - 8:56 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, Feb 12 (IANS) Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet will make a comeback on television with a mini-series based on James M. Cain’s novel “Mildred Pierce”.
The “Titanic” star began her acting career on British TV in the 1990s before breaking into Hollywood movies.
Now she will feature as a proud single mother in Depression-era Los Angeles in “Mildred Pierce”, reported contactmusic.com.
Ilene Landress will produce the series for US network HBO, while Todd Haynes and Jon Raymond are helming the script. Filming on the series is due to start in New York in April.
