New York, July 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) They called it quits a couple of months back but that’s not the end of their story. There’s more to roll. Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet are planning to move in together once again. The buzz is strong that the Academy Award winning couple wish to give their “devastated marriage” one more shot.

The couple parted ways earlier after being together for seven years. They have a son named Joe along with Kate Winslet’s daughter Mia whom she had from her previous marriage with director Jim Threapleton. Reportedly, the “American Beauty” director and “The Reader” star were introduced to each other by Emma Thompson who happens to be a mutual friend.

A close source of the actress told the media that both Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet have expressed their wish to get back together. In order to reignite “the spark” the couple has also taken a long break from work to spend the summer in England at Kate Winslet’s residence. Could it be true? At a time when celebrity divorce are so rampant, it is hard to believe how these two can hold on to each other so strong.

On the other end of the line, we have the director’s spokesperson who gave a different account of the story. He informed the media that the 44 year old director had a mutual divorce from his wife Kate Winslet. Sam Mendes has always been able to draw the line with his girlfriends without a shade of regret. However, this the time the children are making it tough for both the director and the actress to end their marriage.
