Los Angeles, Sep 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The reality TV series ‘Jon & Kate plus 8’ which was plagued by low viewership ratings, is getting a brand makeover which is also in tune which the recent changes in the Kate & Jon’s relationship as well.

The showbiz couple had separated in front of the viewers in a June episode that was lapped up by more than 10 million people.

The renamed show “Kate Plus Eight,” which begins on Nov. 2, will continue to showcase the lives of the Gosselin kids (5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins) and will primarily focus on now single-parent Kate’s role as a single care-giver for the huge family.

“It’s not a huge shift, but it’s reflective of where the show was already going,” said Eileen O’Neill, TLC’s president and general manager.

“Jon’s going to be involved in the show,” she said, adding that he will be seen less often than before. TLC retains an exclusive arrangement with him, as well as the rest of the family, O’Neill said.

The series was a major hit with the viewers when it aired two years ago, as the viewers emphasized with Kate and Jon over their challenges of raising 8 children.
