London, Feb 3 (ANI): Kate Moss and Jamie Hince are reportedly engaged, and are intending to marry on July 2.

Daughter, Lila, eight, will be the chief bridesmaid.

The catwalk queen has joked she will be the most famous Kate to wed in 2011 - not Prince William’s fiancee Kate Middleton, reports the Sun.

Guitarist Jamie, 40, of hit band The Kills, is believed to have popped the question in bed on Tuesday night, after Kate had put the lights out to go to sleep.

After switching the lights back on and going down on one knee, he proposed her with a vintage 1920s engagement ring worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Interestingly, Hince followed tradition by asking Moss’ mum and dad for permission.

A source close to the couple said last night: “Kate is delighted. Jamie is the man for her - they are soul mates. She just wanted to make him work for her hand in marriage.

“He has been badgering her to get married but she wanted to take her time.

“Over the last year they have grown so close, they are like man and wife.

“They’re going to have the mother of all weddings. It will be a huge party, one of the biggest she has ever thrown - and she’s thrown a few,” the source added. (ANI)
