Kate Gosselin has finally broken her brief self imposed media sabbatical (after the Gosselin marriage fiasco and Jon’s public parade of a string of girlfriends) and is back to the fore front with a bang. Her “comeback” of sorts is being dotted by a slew of media interviews and appearances on talk shows. Right after being on the “Today Show,” she was seen on the set of the “Live with Regis and Kelly” show.

Well, it started off as being nothing much different from the “Today Show” with Kate speaking on a wide range of subjects like her separation from soon to be former husband, Jon Gosselin, “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ and more. More or less the same content was repeated all over again.

The pivotal point of the episode however came up when Regis Philbin made a comment about how he hoped to see the Gosselin family reunited and Kare and Jon back together. The suggestion gave rise to what can be considered to be an awkward moment in talk show history. On being subjected to this suggestion, Kate made a clipped reply of, “We definitely have different goals at this point. A lot has changed. A lot of unexpected things have come up. It’s not ideal. And I can’t say you’re right at all.”

Hereon, Kate was let in to a very squirmy situation, as Regis relentlessly pressed on with the question of what would be Kate’s reaction if Jon came crawling back on his knees and asked for reconcile. Kate came back with the quick reply saying, “I don’t think I can answer that. A lot of our lives is public, but a lot is private, as well.”
