July 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American television personality Kate Gosselin is planning a ‘Holiday Album’ for this Christmas, according to the sources inside the industry.

There was a mixed reaction on hearing the news. Some of the biggest Kate fans have welcomed the idea but there are also some others who think that their ears will bleed if the album is released. Kate Gosselin is very confident of cashing in on her popularity again.

The mother of eight has the advantage as she is not required to employ a children’s choir for the album. As per the sources, her eight kids will appear on the compilation and will croon ‘I saw momma kissing Santa Claus’.

The ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ fame will add to her popularity if she comes out with the album at all. A record executive thinks that the album is just an extension of Kate’s image as America’s family.

According to Rob Shuter of PopEater, “Kate is planning a CD with holiday songs by herself and her eight children. She is feeling like a modern Maria from ‘The Sound of Music’, the only change this time is that the singers would be the Gosselins in place of the Von Trap family.”

Last week, Kate showed off her wash-board abs to the media and now it’s the time to show her clever, business side by cashing on a winning image. As a mother of eight, it is definitely a wise decision.

A friend of Kate said, “Don’t get fooled. She is very much aware of the fact that this fifteen minutes of fame cannot last forever so she wants to make the most of it. After all, she is responsible for all her eight children.”
