Apart from writing about Nikki, the book also discloses about her former husband Oliver Peck and the recent fire at her house, which killed her beloved cat Valentine.

The celebrity tattooist has however, maintained a silence about her current beau Jesse James, former husband of Sandra Bullock. She has disclosed about her personal journey and the experiences she gathered from her clients daily.

Von started writing this book when she was still in relationship with Nikki so the musician was also part of the entire process. The 28-year-old says that both Nikki and she are very proud of the book and they still talk to each other.

Kat Von D, who appears on the TLC reality television show ‘LA Ink’ says that the book does not dwell on why the relationship failed and she rather concentrated on the good times they spent together. She thinks that the relationships never fail, it just takes its course so has taken theirs.

The tattooist claims that she has shared her experiences of working with different clients daily and she takes inspiration in real life also from their stories.

‘The Tattoo Chronicles’ is full of the images of her celebrity friends and clients. She has made some funny and touching entries too.
