Aug 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is a big week for the hip-hop industry as two of the biggest names released their latest and highly anticipated videos on August 5. With Eminem collaborating with Rihanna for a video that starred Megan Fox, it needed something extraordinary to turns the fans’ head and Kanye West made sure that he did it. The much anticipated new album from the bad boy of rap called ‘Power’ has got people sit up and take notice at what could be one of the biggest hits in the days to come. The video showcased the first single from the latest album ‘Good Ass Job’ which has been touted as an epic by the rapper.

The Marco Brambilla directed video showed Kanye West surrounded by women in a kind of digital portrait. There are a number of religious references in the visuals where some of the women are shown as saints and some sinners. The 90 second visual that gave the audience into the vision of Marco Brambilla. Kanye West is seen sporting a black T shirt in the video coupled with some serious bling. As the camera zooms out, the Michelangelo inspired figures of women are seen surrounding the still rapper.

Marco Brambilla revealed that he instantly connected with the lyrics in the latest album of Kanye West with its themes of power, celebrity and sexuality. He revealed that he has worked on the themes in his earlier works as well and felt in tune with the album from the moment he clinched the deal. He also added that Kanye West admired his previous works where he blended the themes of sexuality with those of religious imagery. The 90 second sneak peek to the video of ‘Power’ ends with the words ‘Power’ written across the screen in an all black background.
