July 29, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Kanye West demonstrated some of his new stuff to the members of staff at the Twitter headquarters in California. He did a Capella version of the material that is still new.

The rapper visited the Twitter office just a day after regaling the employees of the Facebook at Palo Alto. He performed atop a table there.

He also made it a point to express his gratitude to the Facebook staff. He conveyed his thanks to them on his website and said that he had been enthused by their genuine energy which had kept him going. He also hoped that they had benefited in a similar manner as he seems to have got everything from their support.

Both the performances can now be seen on Youtube. Twitter has also given publicity to the rapper by posting a few pictures on the Flickr site.

He chose to visit the offices of Twitter after he announced that he was now an official member of the popular micro blogging site. One of his tweets read, “We had a great to days in Silicon Valley I’m feeling super inspired right now”.

West, who never seems to be short of opinions, had expressed his distrust for the social networking sites only in May.

His first day on Twitter proved to be very productive as he got an overwhelming response taking the number of his followers to 200,000. His tweets now total 14 with 11 of them being ‘Shout Outs’ to various media publications.

His new album is expected to be out on 14th September.
