September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Saiprakash directed Kannada movie “Mallikarjuna’ has completed the first schedule of shooting. The movie performed its puja in July in a temple.

Crazy Star Ravichandran is the lead actor in this movie, which has two leading ladies, as Ravichandran plays double role in the film. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Thavasi. Dinesh Gandhi is the producer, who has earlier produced the Kannada movie “Hoo’. Camera has been handled by Seetharam the music is composed by SA Raj Kumar.

The fast speeding films have now become a fashion in Sandalwood. The Ravichandran starrer “Nariya Seere Kadda’ has been completed in less than 40 days. Again, Dinesh Baboo and Ramesh Aravind have also completed shooting within a period of less than 15 days and the director Saiprakash of “Mallikarjuna’ is also following the latest trend.

The filmmakers have planned this strategy to cut the expenditure by competing the shooting in quick span. They are avoiding shooting for 50 to 100 days as it used to be earlier. They try to finish the shooting of even top star movies within 40 days, which in turn saves the grace of the producers.

Director Saiprakash erected a huge grand house set for “Mallikarjuna’. Cameraman Seetharam has already captured some of the indoor as well as outdoor scenes, which also includes some action scenes.

Like the first schedule, hope the director shoots the complete movie also in a very short time period!
