Bangalore, Nov 23 (IANS) Vijaya Raghavendra’s performance was appreciated in recently released thriller “IPC Section 300″, but it failed to click at the box office. Now he is hoping to strike gold with “Gokula”, which is releasing Nov 27.
“I have high hopes from ‘Gokula’. It is directed by my cousin Prakash. He has already made big hits like ‘Kushi’ and ‘Rishi’ with me. Today, Prakash is one of the most reliable film directors in the Kannada film industry,” said Vijaya.
The actor, who was seen in the role of an advocate in “IPC Section 300″, plays a thief in “Gokula”. He has teamed up with Pooja Gandhi in it.
“I play a thief in the film and along with my three friends I make cheating and stealing a habit… There are lot of comedy elements featuring me and my three orphan friends. But there is a strong emotional element too that transforms all of us into good human beings.
“I don’t want to reveal the story, but I can assure you that it’ll be a big hit with family audience and also with the young people. The film has romance too,” said Vijaya.
