June 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kamal Hassan who needs no recognition is back with his last hit “Dasavatarm’ director K.S.Ravikumar. His new venture titled Manmadhan Ambu this time. The film is produced by Udayanidhi, son of the Deputy Chief Minister Stalin, under the banner of Red Gaint Movies.
Kamal Hassan has been entertaining us for decades. And now he has not just proved himself to be a successful actor but has established himself as a successful producer and director too.
Trisha has been selected as the heroine in the film. She is considers herself to be lucky as she will get to act with Kamal Hassan. This will be her first movie with the veteran actor. Trisha is simply over the moon and admits that she has never met such an intelligent person like Kamal Hassan. Madhavan, who acted with Kamal in Anbae Sivam, a few years ago, has also been signed for an important role in the film. This would be Madhavan’s second film with Trisha too. Trisha made her debut in 2001, opposite Madhavan in the film “Lesa Lesa’. The pair is coming back on screen after a long gap. Sangeetha will be playing a pivotal role and Devi Sri Prasad will score the music as well as a poetic number for the film. The title song of the film had been recorded at the composer’s studio recently.
This movie is supposed to be a comedy caper according to the current buzz. It has also been heard that the shooting will take place in the exotic locations of Spain, Europe and China.
Reports say that the film has been tentatively titled as Yavarum Kelir previously, but that has been changed to Manmadhan Ambu now. The inspiration for the title of the film seems to have come from the all time favorite song “Andhi Mazahai Pozhigiradhu’, from Ulaga Nayagan’s 100th movie Raaja Parvai, which had the words Manmadhan Ambu’.
The film will be launched today in a press meet held in Chennai. The movie is scheduled to start in Monte Carlo from the middle of June.
Now we all are waiting to see the on screen magic of Kamal Hassan. After all we will be getting to see him on the big screen after a long long time
