‘Jyoti’ To End Its Journey With One Hour Special Episode
November 26th, 2010 - 6:13 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
A new show titled ‘Armaanon ka Balidaan Arakshan’ will take up the 8.30 pm slot from November 29th. We have all loved Jyoti in all her roles, be it as a loving daughter, a fearless and independent working woman, a devoted wife or as a loving mother. She has been the light of her family and took responsibility of her two younger sisters and brother since her father was handicapped in an accident.
‘Jyoti’ started her journey on Imagine TV in early 2009 and it came with a promise to offer something different from the usual ‘saas-bahu’ drama. It was the story of this middle class girl ‘Jyoti’, who was portrayed as a symbol of ‘women empowerment’. The show was loved by the audience because of its different approach towards women. It showed that a woman has her own identity apart from just being a daughter, ‘saas’ or ‘bahu’.
However, after all these twists and turns, the viewers can expect a happy ending and the lead couple Jyoti and Kabir will unite again, strengthening their bond of marriage.
Saurabh Tewari, head of fiction, Imagine TV, said that they wanted to give a logical conclusion to this popular show of the channel. The show spoke against domestic violence and women education and the lead actress of the serial, Sneha Wagh has also done it in real life through the ‘Jyoti Foundation’ for educating women.
So, don’t miss this special one hour episode this Saturday to bid your ‘Jyoti’ happily.
