Tokyo, May 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Canadian teenage singer Justin Bieber is in Japan for series of concerts in the country. When he met with some children in the country, Bieber told them that things will get better for them.

Japan was devastated when the country was struck by an earthquake and tsunami in March. The country’s problems were compounded when a damaged nuclear plant started throwing radiation into the environment. The escaped radiation has made recovery and reconstruction slow. Japanese officials say more than 12,000 people have been killed and thousands of others are still missing after the quake.

Some Japanese children who were affected by the tragedy approached Bieber and told the singer that, “We have friends who lost their family and their homes, some have left our school. The town is covered with wreckage and it will take a long time to get back to normal.”

17-year-old Bieber has already performed a concert in Osaka and his next stop is Budokan where he will sing at a sold-out concert. Bieber has already showed some love to Japan by donating a song to the album “Songs for Japan.” The album has already grossed more than $5 million towards the cause of rebuilding Japan.
