Nov 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 16 year old teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber was nominated in four categories last night. The singer managed to nab four awards out of five and it included most favorite award of the night, Favorite Artist of the Year. It came as a surprise and a reason for rejoice for the pop sensation to bag the award among veteran singers like Eminem, Usher, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga who were also nominated. If the American Music Awards’ history is to be followed, then Justin Bieber is the youngest person who has ever won a Favorite Artist trophy.

Other than Favorite Artist award, Justin Bieber also won Favorite Breakthrough Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album for “My World”. While receiving the award for Favorite Breakthrough Artist Justin Bieber said that he never thought he would get the award in his life. The singer later said that it is an amazing feeling and he cannot stop smiling. When he received Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, he thanked King of Pop Michael Jackson and said that without the legendary singer none of the singers would have been in the show. Justin Bieber even showed the famous step of moon-walk to the audience and the audience applauded to his performance.

Justin Bieber performed “Pray” from his upcoming album and after the performance the crowd cheered for him and gave him a standing ovation. Speaking about his fellow nominees, Justin Bieber said that he still could not believe that he has received an award because he had been listening and singing Eminem’s songs since he was three year old and Usher is his mentor. Justin Bieber smiled and said that it was a big day for him.
