Los Angeles, Jan 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Justin Bieber and Emma Roberts joined other top celebrities on Sunday to remember Alex Brown.

Alex Brown’s family set up a foundation in her honor after she was killed in a text-driving accident. The 17-year-old had in the weeks leading to her accident sent and received more than 10,000 text messages.

Her parents are determined that nobody should be killed under that circumstance. As such they started the Alex Brown Foundation to campaign against texting and driving.

Sunday’s edition of the ABC’s show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” was dedicated to the foundation. NASCAR stars Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle joined Bieber and Emma to raise the awareness of the campaign.

“If Alex was here and seeing all this she would be so excited for us. She’d be like, ‘I’m so glad y’all are getting this! Y’all are doing good. Keep going,’” Alex’s 12-year-old sister, Katrina, said on the show.

Emma said she has a little sister and can’t even imagine herself in the place of Alex or Katrina. She admitted she has been touched by the story of Alex because of her young age.

Bieber signed up to the foundation’s “don’t text and drive pledge”.
